Kneel on pad and grasp bar with wide overhand grip. Pull body up until eyes pass bars. Return. For permanent muscular tension keep arms slightly flexed. Repeat. It´s also common practise to stretch arms and shoulders at the lowest point.
Other machines offer a platform to stand on during exercise.
